Campaigns in 2025

Key Activities and Highlights of 2025
In 2025, we focused on ten key topics that shaped our activities and communication with members as well as the public. We highlighted the ongoing shortage of bus drivers and actively participated in negotiations at the February Transport Commission, where we consistently defended the interests of employees and the quality of public transport services. Our representatives brought concrete proposals and data from practice, helping to keep the debate constructive and solution‑oriented.
We also organized a joint workshop with OZ KOVO, where we presented the specific benefits of union membership in a clear and practical way. The goal was to ensure that employees have a transparent overview of what we offer them – from legal support and collective bargaining to training, counseling, and assistance in difficult life situations. The workshop created space for open discussion, questions, and sharing of real experiences from workplaces.
We strengthened regional cooperation through a meeting of the Prešov mandate district and launched closer coordination between local representatives and the national structures of the union. This allowed us to better respond to specific regional needs, share good practice, and support each other in negotiations with employers and public authorities. Regular contact with members in the regions remains one of our priorities, as it helps us stay close to everyday problems in transport and related sectors.
Throughout the year, we also focused on improving our communication channels so that information about negotiations, campaigns, and member benefits is accessible, understandable, and timely. We used online tools, newsletters, and personal meetings to ensure that every member can easily find out what is happening and how they can get involved. These activities form a solid foundation for our work in the coming years and for further strengthening the voice of employees in public transport.
